Hello stamping friends! Today I thought I’d share with you how I got started stamping.
Starting in 2003 I had a vendor booth at a place in a town close to me where I sold mini paper bag scrapbooks and cards. These scrapbooks and cards were primarily made with all the fun scrapbook paper, embellishments from all the craft stores and things I made using my Silhouette.
Then, in the summer of 2005 I went to a Stampin’ Up! Card class. After that class, I started thinking about how I could sign up as a demonstrator and use SU’s products for my scrapbooks and cards and get a discount.
Well, as they say, the rest is history… I did sign up as a demonstrator later that summer. It wasn’t until the following year that I decided to invite my friends over and start having classes. It was a blast sharing my love of creating with both old and new friends!
My upline connection then asked me to help out with a weekly Tuesday morning library class. I helped her for approximately three years until I decided it was time to branch out on my own. I now hold library classes myself at our local library and have met even more new friends.
Having classes with my stamping friends has always been a pleasure for me. I enjoy the time I get to stamp with other people and I’ve also met a lot of nice ladies. Stamping has always been relaxing for me. When I’m stressed I go to my stamp room. I never get tired of stamping and creating! Forget cleaning the house, etc. I’d rather be stamping!
If you have a moment, send me a note in the comments below and let me know how you got started stamping and what it means to you. I’d love to hear from you all.
Wendy
