Stampin’ Up! Trimmer Tool Tips

Hello stamping friends!  Today we’re going to talk about Stampin’ Up’s Trimmer Tool.  This is one of the most important  tools that you need when you’re paper crafting tool.   This is an excellent paper cutter and is quite portable for when you’re  on the go.

It’s extremely important to keep your trimmer in tip top shape so that your pieces of card stock always have a clean cut.   You always want  to be sure that your cutting blade is always fresh and sharp.  It’s very easy to remove the old blade and add a new one.  You simply slide the blade down to the bottom of the track where there is a little carved out notch.  You then twist the blade a bit and pop it out.  When adding the new blade simply reverse your steps and be sure to remove the protective plastic from the blade before putting it in!

Another important piece to keep clean on your trimmer tool  is the long gray mat that is usually referred to as the cutting guide (Stampin’ Trimmer Replacement Mat).  This mat must always be free of  any tiny bits of paper or “paper powder”.  I usually remove the debris from the track using an alcohol wipe.

And, last but not least, is always be sure to have extra cutting blades on hand for your trimmer tool. The Stampin’ Trimmer has a nice little storage compartment on the back for storing those extra blades.  Always make sure you have extra blades on hand. You do not want to run out!

I hope you enjoyed my tips today for the Stampin’ Trimmer.  I know it’s one tool that no paper crafter should be without!  Head over to www.wdiem.stampinup.net if you’d like to make a Stampin’ Trimmer purchase.  You won’t be disappointed!
Happy stamping!
