Hello friends! Did I tell you that Halloween is my favorite holiday to craft and decorate for? I’m not sure where my obsession with Halloween has come from, but I love it. Maybe it has something to do with my father being a Halloween baby!
Today I have a free tutorial for you! This is a graveside card that I created using the Everyday Label Punch to make my tombstones!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Punch out four “tombstones” in the Smoky Slate cardstock using the Everyday Label punch. Using your Stampin’ Trimmer cut off one end of each label to give the tombstone a flat edge. Add Smoky Slate ink using the Sponge Dauber to the edges of the tombstones to make them look distressed. Set aside.
2. Punch out two bats in Basic Black and one bat in Smoky Slate using the Twinkle Builder punch.
3. Stamp the moon using Crushed Curry ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch out the moon using the Twinkle Builder Punch. Stamp the cat on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in memento Black Ink. Make sure the ink is dry, then color in with Pumpkin Pie-Light Stampin’ Blend.
4. Stamp the sentiment “Happy Halloween” in Memento Black ink on the Whisper White cardstock banner.
5. Stamp some stars in memento Tuxedo Black ink on the Whisper White piece of cardstock. Once the ink dries, color in the stars using the Daffodil Delight-Light Stampin’ Blend.
6. You are now ready to assemble the card. Adhere all of your pieces to the 3-3/4”x5” piece of Whisper White cardstock to create your Halloween scene. Once you have your scene created, add the Brights DSP/striped piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to the bottom of the tombstones. Adhere this Whisper White piece of cardstock with the scene to the Gorgeous Grape piece of cardstock. Next, add the Happy Halloween banner and then tie the Black Baker’s Twine around those pieces before attaching to the Basic Black card base.
7. Add a piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card base for your sentiment. Decorate if you wish.
